Laura Meredith Geiger is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Ms. Geiger's practice focuses on commercial litigation, with an emphasis on insurance coverage litigation. She has experience in all aspects of litigation, arbitration, and mediation. Her insurance coverage counseling and litigation background spans a variety of manufacturing and service industry sectors, including oil, energy, manufacturing, retail, and food service.

Ms. Geiger represents corporate and individual insureds in insurance coverage disputes with claims involving environmental, asbestos, products, directors and officers, errors and omissions, first-party property, workers' compensation, and insolvent insurers. In addition, she advises corporate policyholders in connection with the structure of their insurance programs and the terms of their policies.

Ms. Geiger also regularly represents corporations in commercial litigation involving breach of contract, trade secrets, and unfair competition. She has defended employers in lawsuits and administrative investigations alleging violations of federal and state employment laws. In addition, Ms. Geiger counsels clients on litigation-prevention strategies.

Ms. Geiger earned her J.D., with highest honors, from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology in 1999, where she was executive articles editor for the Chicago-Kent Law Review and a teaching assistant for constitutional law and torts. Ms. Geiger earned her B.A. in philosophy and religious studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1996.

Ms. Geiger is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
