Bradley (Brad) G. Hartz is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Mr. Hartz focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, and represents clients in a wide range of general civil litigation matters.
Mr. Hartz has represented individuals and corporations in contract disputes, personal injury lawsuits, deceptive trade practice claims, products liability claims, and environmental litigation. His recent engagements include the representation of a global investment banking and securities firm pursuing claims for breach of a credit agreement and the defense of an international office developer against claims of a breach of contract.
Mr. Hartz also represents pro bono clients through organizations such as the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Association. As a participant in the Houston Municipal Court Volunteer Prosecutor Program, he has tried more than 15 cases before a jury.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Hartz was a litigation associate in the Houston office of an international law firm. He also interned with Judge David Hittner of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas and with the Civil Division of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Texas.
Mr. Hartz earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Houston Law Center in 2007. Prior to law school, Mr. Hartz was commissioned as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army, and was awarded the Bronze Star for service in Iraq. He attained the rank of captain before resigning his commission. Mr Hartz earned his B.S. from Texas A&M University in 2000.
Mr. Hartz is admitted to practice in Texas and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
