Carliss N. Chatman

Carliss N. Chatman is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Ms. Chatman focuses her practice on defending leading corporations in a variety of industries, including pharmaceuticals, energy, and insurance. She has experience handling a variety of civil matters in state and federal court.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Chatman was an associate at an international law firm, where she represented companies in contracts, products liability, and toxic tort cases. She also defended and advised companies in both internal investigations and investigations initiated by government agencies such as the Environmental Protection Agency and the Internal Revenue Service.

Ms. Chatman earned her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 2004. She earned her B.A. in English and African-American studies, with a minor in Women's Studies, from Duke University in 2001.

Ms. Chatman is admitted to practice in Texas and before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas.
