Anna V. Jones is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Energy Practice. Ms. Jones assists with the representation of electric utilities and other clients in the nuclear industry on a variety of regulatory and litigation matters before the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), the Department of Labor (DOL), and the federal courts. Those matters include contested licensing proceedings before the NRC, as well as whistleblower litigation before the DOL and related federal government investigations. She also represents Department of Energy (DOE) contractors on various matters including external NRC regulation of DOE facilities.
In addition, Ms. Jones advises clients on nuclear safety, employment discrimination, and regulatory compliance. Ms. Jones assists clients with the assessment and management of safety-conscious work environments by conducting training courses and assessments at various facilities and power plants. She has also conducted a number of internal investigations on behalf of companies in response to allegations raised both internally by employees and externally by government agencies.Ms. Jones also advises clients on various fuel cycle matters, including recycling and fuel fabrication. She assisted with Morgan Lewis's representation of the DOE in the Yucca Mountain high-level waste repository licensing before the NRC.
Ms. Jones received her J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center in 2006, where she worked with the Institute for Public Representation and was the administrative editor of the Georgetown International Environmental Law Review. She earned her A.B. in mathematics and in environmental science and policy from Duke University in 2003.
Ms. Jones is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Georgia.
