Fabian M. Koenigbauer is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Intellectual Property Practice. Mr. Koenigbauer focuses his practice on patent prosecution, litigation, and counseling, primarily in life sciences and chemistry.
Mr. Koenigbauer has assisted in the preparation and prosecution of chemical, pharmaceutical, and biological patent applications and with the preparation of validity, infringement, and freedom to operate opinions. He also has assisted in due diligence matters and patent litigation matters.
Mr. Koenigbauer has co-authored two books, the E-Z Review for Intellectual Property and the E-Z Review for Patent Law, which provide an overview of Intellectual Property Law and Patent Law.
Mr. Koenigbauer earned his M.S. in biotechnology, with a concentration in regulatory affairs, from Johns Hopkins University in 2005. He earned his J.D. and M.I.P. from Franklin Pierce Law Center in 2003. While in law school, Mr. Koenigbauer spent a summer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Office of Sponsored Programs, where he drafted confidentiality, material transfer, and research agreements. He earned his B.S. in biochemistry from the University of Victoria, British Columbia in 2000. Mr. Koenigbauer is fluent in German and English, and conversant in French.
Mr. Koenigbauer is admitted to practice in New York and the District of Columbia and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
