Rebecca "Becky" Eisen is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice and leader of the practice in the San Francisco office. She represents and counsels employers in all facets of employment law and the employment relationship.
Ms. Eisen is chair of the West Coast Wage and Hour Practice and regularly defends employers in a number of wage and hour class actions, multiple-plaintiff, and collective actions brought under California law and the Fair Labor Standards Act. Her practice focuses principally on the financial services, insurance, and retail industries. She litigates actions before administrative agencies and in state, federal, and appellate courts, including the California Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Ms. Eisen also counsels management regarding wage and hour practices, classification of employees, employment policies, and enforcement of confidentiality and trade secret agreements. Ms. Eisen has conducted nationwide training programs for managers on topics such as the intersection of laws and employment practices, sexual harassment, management of diversity, and conducting effective investigations.
From 2005 through 2011, Ms. Eisen was named one of the leading U.S. lawyers for employment law by Chambers USA, based on the views of clients, peers, and other industry professionals. Chambers noted that Ms. Eisen's clients praise her as a "great thinker, great leader, and great collaborator" with "outstanding knowledge" in the area of employment law.
A regular speaker on employment law matters and a member of the Legal Board of California's largest employer's association, The Employers Group, Ms. Eisen has presented before such organizations as the Northern District Judicial Conference, the Practicing Law Institute, the Northern California Human Resources Association, and The Recorder Roundtable.
