Brettny E. Hardy is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Ms. Hardy focuses her practice on environmental issues, including environmental transactions, litigation, and regulatory compliance. She assists in representing corporate clients in environmental aspects of business transactions. Ms. Hardy also has experience in intellectual property matters, with a particular emphasis on patents. She has represented clients in federal and state courts.

Since joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Hardy has been involved in many stages of litigation, including planning and implementation of document collection, e-discovery, document review and production, motion practice, and summary judgment. She has also assisted with numerous depositions and a Markman trial.

Ms. Hardy received her J.D. from Duke University School of Law in 2007, where she was the president of Duke student government. While in law school, she served as an executive editor for the Duke Journal of Comparative and International Law. Ms. Hardy received her Masters of Environmental Management from Duke University, Nicholas School of the Environment and Earth Sciences in 2007.

Prior to attending law school, Ms. Hardy worked for four years as a senior instructor in marine law and conservation at a not-for-profit marine mammal aquarium in the Florida Keys. She received her B.S. in biology from Pomona College in 1997, where she was nominated to Sigma Xi, a scientific honor society.

Ms. Hardy is admitted to practice in New York and before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
