Christopher A. Owens is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice. Mr. Owens's practice focuses on secured and unsecured bank financing and creditor's rights. He has experience representing agents in syndicated secured debt facilities and in financings within the motion picture and television industry, having represented financial institutions in the context of numerous slate and other credit facilities, as well as various refinancings, intercreditor arrangements, and restructurings within the entertainment space.

Mr. Owens regularly represents lenders, sponsors, and targets in the context of leveraged acquisitions in various industries. He also has a background in bankruptcy and restructuring, having represented various pre-petition lenders and trade creditors and various providers of debtor-in-possession financings in major chapter 11 proceedings.

Mr. Owens earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2001, where he was an associate editor of the University of Pennsylvania Journal of International Economic Law. He earned his B.A. in communications from the University of Pennsylvania in 1997.
