Associate

Sa "Sally" Liao is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice. Ms. Liao's practice focuses on public offerings and private placements of securities, corporate governance issues, securities counseling of public companies, life science-related transactions, and general corporate representations.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Liao was a senior associate at the Hong Kong office of a major U.S. law firm, where she advised companies on initial public offerings in the U.S. and Hong Kong, private placements of securities and other securities law related matters. Ms. Liao also practiced as an associate at a large law firm's New York office, where she advised companies on public offerings and private placements of securities, and provided securities counseling to public companies.

Ms. Liao earned her J.D. from Columbia University Law School in 2001, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. She earned her Ph.D. in microbiology from Columbia University in 1998 and her B.S. in biology from Wuhan University, China in 1991.

Ms. Liao is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey.
