Rian Jensine Balfour

Associate

Rian Jensine Balfour is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Investment Management Practice. Ms. Balfour counsels broker-dealers and investment advisers on a wide variety of domestic and international regulatory, transactional, operational, and corporate governance matters. Her practice also includes the formation and regulation of foreign and domestic private equity investment funds, hedge funds, and funds-of-funds, as well as corporate finance projects, including public and private offerings of debt and equity issues.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Balfour was a tax associate at a large law firm in New York.

Ms. Balfour received her J.D., cum laude, from Duke University School of Law in 2007, where she was a lead editor for the Alaska Law Review (a publication of Duke University School of Law) and a staff writer for the Duke Law and Technology Review. She received her B.A. in neuroscience and behavior from Columbia University in 2004.

Ms. Balfour is admitted to practice in Florida and New York.
