Farin Khosravi

Associate

Farin Khosravi is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Ms. Khosravi focuses her practice on defense of wage and hour class actions, federal and state wrongful discharge claims, enforcement of noncompetition and other employment agreements, and compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations.

Ms. Khosravi represents employers in defense of the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII, state antidiscrimination laws, Americans with Disabilities Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, states and federal whistleblowing statues, state tort law, and traditional labor law. She also assists employers in the enforcement of employment, noncompetition, and confidentiality agreements and has advised management regarding compliance with various state and federal employment laws and regulations.

Ms. Khosravi has successfully obtained dismissals of discrimination and retaliation claims on summary judgment; has worked on claims of life insurance policies that were subject to conflicting claimants and required interpleader actions; has obtained a dismissal of an ADA claim on summary judgment in the Western District of Oklahoma; has represented a retailer in three different FLSA collective actions alleging misclassification of store managers; and has represented a retailer in the appeal of a summary judgment in favor of the employer to the Eleventh Circuit. She has also given a presentation on FMLA topics and regularly assists employers with drafting FMLA policies in their handbook.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Khosravi was a labor and employment associate at a leading international law firm.

Ms. Khosravi received her J.D., cum laude, from Southern Methodist University in 2003; her M.B.A. in human resources management from the University of North Texas in 2000; and her B.S. in biology from the University of North Texas in 1998. She is fluent in Farsi and English and conversational in French.

Ms. Khosravi is a member of the Texas Bar Association, the Dallas Bar Association, the Dallas Asian American Bar Association, the Texas Young Lawyers Association, the University of North Texas Alumni Association, and the Society for Human Resources Management. She is also a volunteer with CASA of Collin County and Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Collin County.

Ms. Khosravi is admitted to practice in Texas and before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas.
