Jason M. Steele is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Mr. Steele maintains a diverse practice focusing on traditional labor law, employment litigation, and counseling. He has successfully represented clients in collective bargaining negotiations, preventing strikes and work slowdowns, averting union action, as well as handling matters before labor arbitrators and the National Labor Relations Board, particularly in the manufacturing and transportation industries.

Mr. Steele also has defended employers in the full spectrum of employment litigation, including discrimination, harassment, unfair competition, family leave, and wage-hour matters. Mr. Steele devotes a significant part of his practice to assisting employers to keep pace with California's complex and evolving employment laws, particularly in the areas of overtime, meal and rest period compliance, sexual harassment, trade secret protection, and disability accommodation.

Mr. Steele earned his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law in 2002 and his B.A., magna cum laude, in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1998.

Mr. Steele is admitted to practice in California and before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Central Districts of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
