Ann Louise Markham

Director of Marketing and Practice Development

Ann Louise Markham is the director of marketing and practice development for Morgan Lewis’s Labor and Employment Practice and Morgan Lewis Resources. Ms. Markham works closely with practice group leadership on a full spectrum of marketing and practice development activities. She supports the business goals of these two practices with strategic marketing and communications plans, best practice processes and improvements, and effective marketing team management.

Ms. Markham regularly consults with partners across firm offices to identify practice development opportunities; create new marketing strategies to reach the labor and employment audiences; lead drafting and preparations for RFPs, new business pitches, proposals, collaterals, and presentations; develop client events and webcasts; direct strategic communications efforts, sponsorships, and cobranding opportunities; and leverage firm database technology for opportunity tracking and ROI.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Markham was a senior associate at a market-leading global corporate communications agency, working in its U.S. headquarters in New York and then in its European headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. In New York, Ms. Markham was part of the crisis communications team focused on supporting merger and acquisitions projects and agency clients in the financial services, energy, retail, and publishing industries. In Brussels, Ms. Markham was in charge of managing pan-European communications and marketing efforts for financial services, energy, retail, and government clients.

Ms. Markham received her B.A. in 1992, cum laude, with honors, in political science and international studies from Marymount Manhattan College.
