John J. Franchini is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. His practice focuses on a broad range of complex commercial litigation matters, with a particular emphasis on bankruptcy litigation and disputes relating to the value of assets, businesses, and real estate. Mr. Franchini regularly advises clients with regard to bankruptcy matters and has handled numerous cases involving alleged preferential transfers or fraudulent conveyances, as well as Chapter 11 bankruptcies. His practice also includes representation of professional firms on issues relating to bankruptcy retention and fee collection.
Mr. Franchini also has a background in business contract disputes and disputes relating to asset sales and asset valuation. He represented a national continuing-care services provider in a lawsuit against the estate of an insurance company in liquidation. Mr. Franchini was part of a Morgan Lewis team that represented a major Internet venture capital and consulting firm in connection with a dispute regarding the value of the consulting firm's services to a financially distressed company. He also represented a debtor in connection with litigation involving asset transfers and disputes arising from the sale of the debtor's assets. Mr. Franchini currently represents a title insurer in a real estate dispute.
Mr. Franchini has served as co-chair of Morgan Lewis's summer associate program for the past two years.
