Jessica L. Lipson

Jessica L. Lipson is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice. Ms. Lipson focuses her practice on conducting and coordinating environmental due diligence assessments, counseling clients on transaction-related risks and risk allocation strategies, drafting and negotiating risk-allocation agreements, and assisting clients in post-transaction management of environmental liabilities.

Ms. Lipson represents clients, such as private equity firms and publicly and privately held corporations and financial institutions, with respect to environmental issues that arise in the context of U.S. and cross-border M&A, financing, and real estate transactions. She also counsels clients with respect to compliance with all federal and state environmental laws.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Lipson was an environmental associate at a premier midsized New Jersey law firm, where she oversaw consultants performing due diligence studies, conducted environmental due diligence with regards to financial and real estate transactions, oversaw remediation projects, and provided environmental regulatory support to various clients.

Ms. Lipson received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 2005. Prior to attending law school, she was an engineer at Merck & Co., Inc., holding various positions of increasing responsibility in manufacturing technical support positions, as a manufacturing line supervisor, and as an environmental engineer. In her capacity as an environmental engineer, she oversaw the performance of due diligence on purchased and divested properties, managed remediation projects, and performed internal environmental audits of various U.S.-based facilities. Ms. Lipson received her B.S. in chemical engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1996. She is fluent in Spanish and English.

Ms. Lipson is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.
