Jennifer L. Scism

Jennifer L. Scism is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Intellectual Property Practice. Ms. Scism concentrates her practice on intellectual property litigation and also has prepared and prosecuted a wide range of technologies and products patent applications. She has been significantly involved in all aspects of district court litigation in various courts, including leading jury trials and handling claim construction hearings. She also has been involved in prosecuting patent applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and national stage filings under the PCT.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Scism was associated with a large international law firm. She was responsible for all aspects of district court litigation and appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and she prosecuted patent applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and national stage filings under the PCT.

Ms. Scism earned her J.D. from George Mason University School of Law in 2004 and her B.S., magna cum laude, in biology and pre-medicine from North Carolina Wesleyan College in 1999.

Ms. Scism is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and New York and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
