Laurie E. Scott Chan is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Ms. Chan concentrates her practice on representing clients in their responses to administrative agency complaints regarding unfair labor practice allegations and employment discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims filed with federal, state, and local agencies, including the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB); the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC); the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission (PHRC); and the Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations (PCHR).
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Chan was an associate at a boutique law firm in the southern New Jersey region where she represented municipalities and planning boards in the firm's capacity as solicitor and served as court-appointed counsel in guardianship matters brought before the New Jersey Superior Court. Ms. Chan also served as a law clerk to Judge Mary Eva Colalillo of the Chancery Division in Camden County, New Jersey Superior Court from 2009 to 2010.
Ms. Chan earned her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law, Camden in 2009, where she was on the Dean's List. She earned her B.A., cum laude, with distinction, in political science from Rutgers University in 2005, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and the Athenaeum honors society.
Ms. Chan is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
