Brian L. Watson is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Mr. Watson's practice focuses on numerous facets of commercial litigation in both state and federal court, including the areas of commercial contract disputes, employment contract disputes, construction litigation, products liability, white-collar criminal defense, securities, broker-dealer matters and insurance. Mr. Watson is also an active member of the firm's pro bono practice.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Watson served as a law clerk to Judge Edwin M. Kosik of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania from 1999-2001. Between his second and third year of law school, he also served as a summer law clerk to Judge Zoran Popovich of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Watson received his J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law in 1999, where he served as a senior staff member of the Administrative Law Review. While in law school, Mr. Watson was an active participant in several moot court competitions, advancing to the semi-finals of both the first-year and upper-class competitions, and was selected to represent his school at the National First Amendment Moot Court Competition. In 1999, he also served as a student attorney in his school's Criminal Justice Clinic, trying several cases as both prosecutor and defender. Mr. Watson received his B.A. in history from Dickinson College in 1996.
Mr. Watson is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and Maryland.
