Susan "Sue" Quint is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Energy Practice. Sue has more than 25 years' experience in the nuclear industry in the United Kingdom, Europe, and the United States, representing clients in licensing, regulatory and commercial matters from fuel supply agreements to management and operation (M&O) agreements. She has a thorough knowledge of the UK nuclear legal and regulatory regime and has worked with a wide variety of stakeholders, including government, regulators and utilities. Sue also has experience in international mergers and acquisitions, including the sale by British Nuclear Fuels Limited (BNFL) of Westinghouse Electric LLC to Toshiba in 2006, the sale of Magnox Electric to Energy Solutions in 2007, and the sale of BNFL's interest in the atomic weapons facility, AWE, in 2008. In addition, Sue has worked on major projects in the nuclear industry, particularly during the re-organization of the nuclear decommissioning sector in 2005, including the M&O agreements between the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and the Site License Companies and the sale of Sellafield Limited to Nuclear Management Partners in 2008.

Sue is actively involved in the licensing of new nuclear plants in the UK. She was instrumental in NNB GenCo, the EDF nuclear new build subsidiary, being granted the first nuclear site licence in the UK for over 20 years on 27 November 2012, for its plant at Hinkley Point C. She works with clients throughout the UK, Europe, and the Middle East on commercial, regulatory, decommissioning, and third party nuclear liability. Sue focuses on advising clients on company structures, strategy, and governance arrangements.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Sue was Legal Director of BNFL. She qualified as a Solicitor in 1992. Sue became head of Corporate and Commercial for the BNFL Group in 2000 and was appointed as BNFL's UK General Counsel in 2004, becoming group legal director and company secretary in 2007. In that role, she was responsible for managing the legal and governance aspects of the business. Sue also advised the Department of Business Innovation and Skills on issues relating to BNFL.
