George A. Stohner is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Mr. Stohner's practice focuses on a variety of employment law matters, including complex litigation, labor and employment counseling, and labor negotiations. Mr. Stohner co-founded the practice group's Complex Litigation Practice.

Mr. Stohner is the West Coast Practice Leader of the Labor and Employment Law Practice. He also serves as a member of the firm's Advisory Board. He joined Morgan Lewis in 1977, and relocated to New York in 1987 to establish that office's labor and employment practice, which today is composed of more than 35 labor and employment attorneys. Because of his substantive background and commitment to the firm, he was asked to assume the role of West Coast Practice Leader after the firm's significant West Coast expansion.

Mr. Stohner's practice covers all areas of labor and employment law and involves the representation of employers, both unionized and non-unionized, in many industrial settings, including the broadcasting, entertainment, advertising, financial services, telecommunications, steel, construction, transportation, pharmaceutical, and hospitality industries.

Before entering private practice, Mr. Stohner served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Civil Division of the Washington, D.C., U.S. Attorney's Office, where he was responsible for defending the government in major lawsuits challenging personnel and labor/employment-related matters. Before his service in the U. S. Attorney's Office, he served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate Corps during which time he represented the Department of the Army in civil rights litigation as a member of the U. S. Army's litigation team stationed at the Pentagon.

Mr. Stohner is admitted to practice in California, New York, and the District of Columbia.
