John G. Ferreira is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Practice. Mr. Ferreira's practice involves every aspect of employee benefits, executive and equity compensation, and related areas. His clients include numerous global public companies, as well as several large financial institutions. Mr. Ferreira also counsels emerging information technology and life sciences companies, middle-market companies, private equity firms, nonprofit institutions, and individual executives.
In addition to advice and counseling concerning compliance with ERISA, tax, securities, and labor laws, Mr. Ferreira's practice includes support in litigation and transactional matters and collective bargaining, as well as representation of clients before the federal agencies responsible for regulation of employee benefit plans and programs, including the Internal Revenue Service, the Department of Labor's Employee Benefit Security Administration, and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation. Mr. Ferreira also provides advice to vendors of services to employee benefit plans concerning compliance with the reporting, fiduciary responsibility, and prohibited transaction requirements of Title I of ERISA.
Mr. Ferreira is a regular speaker on employee benefits topics for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the Pittsburgh chapter of the Society for Human Resources Management, and other organizations.
Mr. Ferreira is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and before the U.S. Supreme Court.
