Marc B. Lasky is senior counsel in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice. Mr. Lasky focuses his practice on regulatory and financial issues relating to the energy and utility industries.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Lasky was a business and finance partner at a national law firm.

Mr. Lasky received his J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1972 and his B.A., magna cum laude, in physics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1969, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Mr. Lasky is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.

  • Represented electric utility before state regulatory commission in all aspects of industry restructuring, including introduction of retail choice, stranded cost determination, rates unbundling, development of affiliate relationship standards, and subsequent implementation proceedings.
  • Represented electric utility before state regulatory commission in base rate proceedings, including determination of cost of capital, depreciation rates, rate design and cost of service, cash working capital, and other rate case issues.
  • Represented electric utility before state regulatory commission in prudence review of energy procurement for provider of last resort service.
  • Represented electric utility in connection with state regulatory commission proceedings involving service reliability issues and investigations of service outages.
