Peter M. Phleger is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Private Investment Funds Group. Mr. Phleger focuses his practice on the formation of private investment funds, including venture and private equity funds, fund-of-funds, and secondary funds, representing both sponsors and institutional investors. He also advises sponsors in their operation and investment activities, with particular focus on secondary transactions. Mr. Phleger represents both multi-billion dollar partnerships and early-stage venture capital firms. He is skilled in the structure, formation, governance, and investing activities of private investment funds, including partnership agreement terms and conditions, public disclosure issues, securities law compliance, investor relations, and general partner separations.

Other facets of Mr. Phleger's practice include representation of fund-of-funds and investment managers as investors in private investment funds and the representation of secondary funds in the purchase of portfolios of fund interests.

Mr. Phleger earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1996 and his B.A. from Yale University in 1985.
