Laurie E. Foster is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Ms. Foster's practice focuses on complex commercial litigation in a broad range of substantive areas, with a special emphasis on international commercial arbitration. She has acted as counsel in numerous international arbitration proceedings pending before the International Chamber of Commerce and the International Center for Dispute Resolution of the American Arbitration Association, and she also has represented clients in domestic AAA arbitrations and in arbitrations before other tribunals. Her arbitration background includes matters relating to acquisition agreements and purchase price adjustments, insurance arbitration, and admiralty arbitration. Ms. Foster also has an extensive background in post-award litigation.
Ms. Foster, additionally, has handled a wide variety of matters in the insurance and reinsurance field. She is currently representing a large, multinational corporation in multidistrict insurance coverage litigation concerning asbestos. Ms. Foster also has represented clients, including insurance liquidators and insurance brokers, in several matters arising out of major insurance insolvencies. Many of these matters have involved RICO claims and claims of professional negligence. She has substantial knowledge of the London insurance market.
