Steven R. Wall is the Practice Group Leader of Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice and Morgan Lewis Resources, the firm's legal logistics, immigration, training, and employment audit and counseling enterprise. Resident in the Philadelphia office, Mr. Wall is responsible for the strategic and day-to-day operation of the Labor and Employment Law Practice and Morgan Lewis Resources across each of the firm’s offices. Mr. Wall also serves on the firm’s Advisory Board.

Mr. Wall’s practice focuses on employment litigation matters in federal and state courts, and before several administrative agencies, with an emphasis on class-based discrimination and collective bargaining issues. He has tried to verdict more than a dozen employment cases in federal and state court.

Mr. Wall has been advising clients for over twenty years on the National Labor Relations Act, the various federal and state discrimination laws, the Fair Labor Standards Act, preventive labor relations and reductions-in-force. He also advises and represents clients in collective bargaining, labor arbitrations, and union avoidance techniques.

He represents clients in a variety of fields, including the retail, healthcare, paper and pulp, and banking industries.

Mr. Wall clerked with Judge James Hunter III of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He recently served as Co-Chair of the New Technologies in the Practice Committee of the ABA’s Labor and Employment Law Section.

Mr. Wall is listed in The Best Lawyers in America (2006–2008) and in Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business (2003–2008). From 2003 through 2008, Mr. Wall has been named one of the leading U.S. lawyers for employment law by Chambers, based on the views of clients, peers and other industry professionals. Chambers recognized his "great presence and command in front of a jury" and commended his ability to act as a strategic advisor. Chambers has also called Mr. Wall "a great relationship partner, and an excellent litigator and negotiator in his own right."

Mr. Wall received his J.D. in 1983, summa cum laude, from Cornell Law School, where he served as special project editor of the Cornell Law Review. He earned his B.S. from the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University in 1979.

Mr. Wall is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.
