J. Kelly Barnes

Kelly Barnes is an associate in Morgan Lewis's FDA and Healthcare Practice. Mr. Barnes advises clients on legal and regulatory matters arising under Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party reimbursement programs, as well as the Stark Law, Antikickback Law, and False Claims Act. He has represented healthcare entities in connection with regulatory compliance programs, due diligence, and other transactional matters. Mr. Barnes also counsels clients in the financial services industry regarding their investments in healthcare companies.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Barnes was an associate in the healthcare practice of an international law firm.

Mr. Barnes received his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 2006. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Barnes worked as a management analyst and consultant in the hospitals and clinics administration department of a major academic medical center. He received his M.B.A. in general business, with a graduate certificate in health organization management, in 2000 and his B.B.A. in finance in 1999, both from Texas Tech University.

Mr. Barnes is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Texas.
