Katharine B. Houlihan is counsel in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Ms. Houlihan provides advice and counseling to public and private employers concerning general employment matters, as well as drafts and reviews employment policies and procedures. She also has significant experience litigating employment discrimination claims, representing employers in federal courts in Maryland, Virginia, Texas, Tennessee, Florida, and the District of Columbia and before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fourth and District of Columbia Circuits.
Ms. Houlihan’s practice draws on both her legal training and notable management experience prior to attending law school, which included working for more than 20 years for the American National Red Cross in both its Social Services and Biomedical Services. At the Red Cross, she served in supervision and management positions of progressively greater responsibility, culminating in her work as the general manager of operations for biomedical services.
Ms. Houlihan was active in Women in Law as a Second Career.
Ms. Houlihan is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia.
