Angel T. Lin is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Ms. Lin focuses her practice on complex class action and single-plaintiff ERISA cases. She represents employee benefit plan sponsors and service providers and their employees, officers, and directors. She has aided clients in federal litigation, challenging fiduciary conduct in connection with employer securities, the valuation of employee stock ownership plans, early retirement benefits, and 401(k) plan fee structure. Ms. Lin also counsels clients on the legal requirements of benefit and plan administration under ERISA, including advising companies on their fiduciary responsibility, avoiding prohibited transaction, and responding to DOL investigations.
In addition to her ERISA practice, Ms. Lin represents employers in other aspects of employment law, including wrongful termination and discrimination and wage and hour litigation.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Lin practiced employee benefits, focusing on ERISA and Taft-Hartley Funds, at a law firm in San Jose, California.
Ms. Lin earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2006, where she was a Lincoln Scholar and a member of the Bankruptcy Moot Court. She earned her B.S. in business administration and her B.A. in legal studies from the University of California, Berkeley in 2003, where she was a Regent Scholar.
Ms. Lin is admitted to practice in California and Michigan and before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
