Alexander L. Grodan is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Mr. Grodan has defended large and small employers alike against a variety of claims, including sexual harassment, discrimination, wrongful termination claims under Title VII and FEHA, and wage-and-hour class actions, and has litigated these cases in both state and federal courts.
In addition to defending and advising clients on employment issues, Mr. Grodan has paid special attention to the development of legal issues surrounding social media as it pertains to the workplace. As the use of social media rapidly becomes more prevalent at work, Mr. Grodan tracks the reaction of courts to novel claims that have arisen and devises best practices related to social media policies.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Grodan worked in the Labor and Employment group of another global law firm.
Mr. Grodan received his J.D. from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law in 2008, where he was an editor for the Southern California Review of Law and Social Justice and volunteered in the Major Crimes Unit of the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. He earned his B.A. from the Gallatin School of Individualized Study at New York University in 2003.
Mr. Grodan is admitted to practice in California and before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Southern, and Central Districts of California.
