Neville Byford is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Neville's practice includes actions concerning contentious insolvency, often where the aim has been to recover assets allegedly taken in breach of fiduciary duty. He has acted for liquidators seeking to recover assets and for parties accused of taking such assets, which has involved obtaining and resisting injunctions to restrain disposal of such assets. He also was involved in the case which went to the House of Lords to resolve what information the liquidators of an insolvent company had to provide to the SFO, where the SFO were bringing criminal proceedings against the alleged fraudster.
In addition, Neville handles professional negligence actions, primarily acting against negligent valuers.
Chambers UK: A Client's Guide to the UK Legal Profession (2008), in their Fraud: Civil category, praise Neville for his "bright" ideas in complex disputes. "Peers discern him as having a mounting reputation in the area."
Neville is admitted to practice in England and Wales as a Solicitor.
