Tedd M. Warden is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Mr. Warden focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, including class action defense. He has experience in a broad array of commercial litigation, including defending clients against claims alleging violations of federal statutes and state consumer fraud acts, as well as claims involving breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty.
Mr. Warden also maintains an active pro bono practice, representing his client, James Andrews, in a federal civil rights action brought pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983. In that action, Mr. Andrews seeks damages as compensation for the torture and other forms of constitutional deprivations he suffered at the hands of certain former members of the Chicago Police Department. As a direct result of those constitutional deprivations, Mr. Andrews was incarcerated for more than 24 years, until his convictions were vacated in 2007. Mr. Warden also represents Mr. Andrews in related litigation brought pursuant to Illinois statute, in which Mr. Andrews seeks a judicial decree stating that he was actually innocent of the crimes for which he was convicted and formerly incarcerated.
Mr. Warden earned his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School in 2008. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Warden worked as a political consultant in Washington, D.C., with a focus on advertising and social marketing campaigns for political candidates and issues. Mr. Warden earned his A.B., with honors, in political science from The University of Chicago in 2001.
Mr. Warden is admitted to practice in Illinois, and before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
