Jane T. Accomando is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Energy Practice. Ms. Accomando assists with the representation of electric utilities and other clients in the nuclear industry on a variety of civil litigation matters before government agencies and the federal courts. Her practice includes litigation against the U.S. government in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims related to federal obligations to accept spent nuclear fuel. She also has experience with whistleblower litigation before the U.S. Department of Labor. Additionally, Ms. Accomando advises clients on nuclear safety and regulatory compliance, employment discrimination, Nuclear Regulatory Commission licensing and enforcement proceedings, and related matters.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Accomando served as a law clerk for Judge Duane Benton of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
Ms. Accomando received her J.D. from Yale Law School in 2008, where she served as development editor for the Yale Journal of Law and Technology. She received her M.S. in nuclear engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2005 and her B.S. in nuclear engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology in 2003.
Ms. Accomando is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Missouri and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
