Morgan D. McDevitt is an associate in Morgan Lewis’s Business and Finance Practice. The lawyers in our Business and Finance Practice focus on mergers and acquisitions (including joint ventures, spin-offs, and strategic alliances), finance and restructuring, securities (including public and private equity and debt offerings), and tax. Clients range from Fortune 500 companies to investment banks to emerging market companies.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. McDevitt participated in the firm's Public Interest Fellowship Program, where he worked in the legal affairs department of The Pew Charitable Trusts, a nonprofit organization headquartered in Philadelphia that applies a rigorous, analytical approach to improve public policy, inform the public, and stimulate civic life.

Mr. McDevitt received his J.D. from Cornell Law School in 2009, where he served as the external relations editor for the Cornell International Law Journal. While in law school, Mr. McDevitt worked as an intern for the Division of Enforcement of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) in New York. Prior to law school, he worked as an associate in the portfolio compliance department for OppenheimerFunds, Inc. in Denver and as an officer in the treasury group at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. in New York. Mr. McDevitt received his B.A., magna cum laude, in French studies and international studies from Colby College in 2000. He is highly proficient in French.

Mr. McDevitt is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.
