Kathy H. Gao is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Ms. Gao focuses her practice on virtually all areas of labor and employment law before both state and federal courts as well as administrative agencies. She regularly handles employment litigation matters involving complex wage and hour class action issues, workplace discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, wage claims, and unfair labor practices.
Ms. Gao represents corporate leaders in industries such as transportation, hospitality, medical, industrial, corrections, and manufacturing in all phases of the litigation process under both California state and federal law. She has also counseled employers on various preventative measures in order to decrease their exposure to employment litigation.
Ms. Gao received her J.D. from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles in 2008. While in law school, she worked as a legal extern at the Cancer Legal Resource Center where she provided free legal assistance and conducted community outreach programs and legal clinics to benefit individuals, families, employers, and health care providers who had cancer-related legal issues. Ms. Gao earned her B.A. in legal studies from the University of California, Berkeley in 2004.
Ms. Gao is admitted to practice in California and before the U.S. District Courts for the Central, Eastern, and Southern Districts of California.
