John D. McGrane is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Energy Practice. Mr. McGrane has more than 30 years of experience representing electric utilities and other participants in the electric power industry. He is listed in Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business, Chambers Global: The World’s Leading Lawyers, and The Best Lawyers in America as one of America's leading energy attorneys.

Mr. McGrane advises clients on all facets of electric regulation and structure. He has been heavily involved in representing utilities in audits and investigations by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s Office of Enforcement. Mr. McGrane also has been active in the areas of mandatory reliability standards; electric transmission issues; restructuring; mergers, acquisitions, and asset transactions; affiliate issues; and power purchase sales and agreements.

Mr. McGrane is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and before the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Third, Sixth, Eighth, Ninth, District of Columbia, and Federal Circuits.
