Janet B. Linn is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Ms. Linn's practice focuses on intellectual property litigation including patent, trade secret, unfair competition, trademark, and copyright litigation, and counseling on trademark and patent issues. She also has substantial experience litigating and counseling on false advertising issues. Ms. Linn has particular expertise in pharmaceutical patent litigation under the Hatch-Waxman Act, and the interplay between FDA regulations and patent issues, having litigated Hatch Waxman patent infringement actions since 1991.

Ms. Linn has managed large intellectual property litigations and has acted as trial counsel in patent and copyright infringement and mail fraud litigations, including Glaxo Wellcome, Inc. v. Eon Laboratories Mfg., Inc., Glaxo Group Ltd. v. Ranbaxy Pharmaceuticals, Inc., 2000 U.S. Dist. Lexis 18364 (D.N.J.); Glaxo Inc. v. Novopharm Ltd., 931 F.Supp. 1280 (E.D.N.C. 1996) and Glaxo Inc. v. Novopharm Ltd., 830 F. Supp. 871 (E.D.N.C. 1993), on behalf of Glaxo, and Ed Kaplan Associates v. Fisher Price, 17 U.S.P.Q. 2d 1977 (S.D.N.Y. 1990) on behalf of Fisher Price. She has also written and spoken frequently on intellectual property issues.

Before joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Linn was a partner at Hopgood, Calimafde, Judlowe & Mondolino for six years.

Ms. Linn is admitted to practice in New York and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
