Colby W. Smith is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice. The lawyers in our Business and Finance Practice focus on mergers and acquisitions (including joint ventures, spin-offs, and strategic alliances), finance and restructuring, securities (including public and private equity and debt offerings), and tax. Clients range from Fortune 500 companies to investment banks to emerging market companies.

Mr. Smith earned his J.D., with highest honors, from Rutgers School of Law - Camden in 2004, and received the Paul C. Ireton Memorial Award.  During law school, Mr. Smith served as the articles editor for the Rutgers Law Journal.  He also worked as an extern for Judge Joseph E. Irenas of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, as well as Judge Dolores K. Sloviter of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.  Prior to attending law school, Mr. Smith worked as a Legislative Aide for U.S. Senator Ron Wyden.

Mr. Smith is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.
