Toyomi Ohara is a patent agent in Morgan Lewis's Intellectual Property Practice. Ms. Ohara's practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications related to organic, pharmaceutical, polymer, inorganic chemistry, biotechnology, and medical devices.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Ohara was a member of a Japanese intellectual property law firm, where she assisted with the preparation and prosecution of pharmaceutical and chemical patent applications, provided clients with advice in obtaining patent rights in Japan and the U.S., patent invalidation, and infringement matters.

Ms. Ohara has six years experience as a chemical researcher at a Japanese pharmaceutical company, where she obtained extensive experience in pharmaceutical research and development. She has also co-authored seven scientific publications.

Ms. Ohara received her M.S. in organic chemistry from Kyoto University, Japan in 1997 and her B.S. in chemistry from Ibaraki University, Japan in 1995. She is fluent in Japanese.

Ms. Ohara is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
