Nils Rahlf is a partner in Morgan Lewis’s Business and Finance Practice. Mr. Rahlf focuses his practice on takeover law and mergers and acquisitions. He provides counsel to acquirors, targets, and underwriters in takeover proceedings. Mr. Rahlf also provides advice to strategic and financial investors in mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Rahlf worked for a year in the Business and Finance Practice of our New York office.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Rahlf was an assistant of Prof. Harald Koch, who holds a chair in civil law and private international law at the University of Rostock, Germany. While serving in this position, Mr. Rahlf taught German public law at the University.

Mr. Rahlf studied law at Hamburg University and passed his second state examination in 1998. He earned his LL.M. from Tulane University Law School, New Orleans, in 1995. Mr. Rahlf is co-author of the Bad Homburger Handbuch zum Übernahmerecht (Zschocke/Schuster, 2003), one of the leading handbooks on German takeover law, as well as the author of other legal articles, in particular on mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Rahlf is fluent in English and German.
