Karen A. Abesamis is an associate in Morgan Lewis’s Business and Finance Practice. Ms. Abesamis's practice includes venture capital financing, private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and securities, with an emphasis on investment in emerging companies. She also provides legal representation in general corporate and securities matters.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Abesamis interned with the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Enforcement Division and worked for in-house counsel for Sun Microsystems, Dodge & Cox Mutual Fund, and Visa International.
Ms. Abesamis earned her M.B.A. from the University of San Francisco in 2009 and her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2008, where she volunteered with the USF Investor Justice Clinic to assist clients who could not afford legal representation in NASD arbitration. She earned her B.A. in political science and her B.A. in psychology from the University of California, Berkeley in 2004.
