Andrew B. Boese is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Mr. Boese focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on contract disputes, UCC, securities fraud, and consumer class actions.
Mr. Boese is a civil trial and appellate attorney and previously held the position of an Assistant County Attorney for Miami-Dade County, one of the largest counties in the United States, where he was chief of its appellate section. He has experience in several areas, including land use and zoning laws, federal civil rights claims, torts, and tax disputes. Mr. Boese has tried both jury and nonjury trials, has handled numerous employment arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association, and has argued appeals before the Circuit Court Appellate Division and Florida's Third District Court of Appeals.
Mr. Boese was also an adjunct faculty member at the University of Miami School of Law, where he taught legal writing from 2004 to 2010.
Mr. Boese received his J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law in 2004, where he was a member of the University of Miami Law Review. During law school, Mr. Boese interned for Judge William P. Dimitrouleas of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
Prior to law school, Mr. Boese served for eight years in the U.S. Army's Military Intelligence Corp, where he was honorably discharged as a captain.
Mr. Boese is admitted to practice in Florida.
