Russell R. Bruch is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Mr. Bruch represents employers in a broad array of labor and employment law matters, including matters before federal and state trial courts and administrative agencies. He has handled wage and hour class and collective actions and has litigated single-plaintiff discrimination and harassment cases (including gender, race, age, and disability discrimination and harassment). Mr. Bruch has litigated various restrictive covenant matters and counseled clients regarding the drafting and enforcement of non-competition, non-solicitation, and confidentiality agreements. He also has provided advice and counseling on employment litigation avoidance, including all aspects of employee relations, hiring and termination, statutory compliance, and best employment practices. In addition, a significant part of Mr. Bruch's practice has involved the representation of employers in traditional labor law matters, including contract negotiations and litigation and arbitration concerning the Railway Labor Act.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Bruch worked on education policy for The American Institutes for Research. He received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2004, where he served as co-chair of the Legal Education Project. Mr. Bruch received his B.A., cum laude, in history from Wake Forest University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 2000.
Mr. Bruch is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey and before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second, Third, Fourth, and District of Columbia Circuits, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.
