Robert J. Reger, Jr. is a partner in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice. Mr. Reger focuses his practice on corporate finance, SEC-related matters, corporate governance, and general corporate matters. He advises investor-owned utilities and underwriting firms with respect to securitizations built around statutorily mandated ratepayer charges, as well as SEC registered, Rule 144A, and private issuances of debt and equity securities, including first mortgage bonds, pollution control revenue bonds, collateral trust bonds, debentures, unsecured debt, secured facility bonds, trust originated preferred securities, preferred stock, common stock, equity units, and other hybrid instruments.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Reger was a partner at a national law firm, where he structured a number of successful hedge funds and represented a variety of European and Central and South American clients with respect to their investments in the United States.
Mr. Reger earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1973 and his B.A., summa cum laude in cursu honorem, from Fordham University in 1970, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Mr. Reger is a member of the American Bar Association and Fordham University's President's Council. He is also a trustee of New York Nativity (middle schools in Brooklyn, The Bronx, and Manhattan, NYC), a board member at Marden Rehabilitation Associates, Inc., and president of The Inn at Woodstock Hill in Woodstock, Connecticut.
