Shannon M. Callahan is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Ms. Callahan focuses her practice on complex ERISA litigation, with an emphasis on class litigation involving excessive fees and expenses, prudent investments, and employer “stock drop” claims. She also focuses on traditional labor matters, representing management in management-union relations issues, charges before the NLRB, collective bargaining, contract disputes involving grievance arbitration, and other related issues.
Ms. Callahan has co-authored articles on employee benefits topics that have appeared in the Benefits Law Journal and the Journal of Taxation and Regulation of Financial Institutions. She was a contributing author to book The NLRB and Managerial Discretion Subcontracting, Relocations, Closings, Sales, Layoffs, and Technological Change (Second Edition, 2010).
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Callahan held an externship with Judge Marvin E. Aspen of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2004 and her B.A. in women's studies from the University of Michigan in 2000.
Ms. Callahan is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
