Gilbert C. Wong is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Intellectual Property Practice. Mr. Wong focuses his practice on intellectual property counseling, procurement, and enforcement of patents for computer-related technologies.
Mr. Wong has prepared and prosecuted numerous patent applications relating to CAD algorithms, circuits, computer architecture, Internet technologies, game mechanics, computer networks, computer security, computer software, relational databases, and semiconductor devices.
Mr. Wong received his J.D. from the University of California, Davis School of Law in 2007. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Wong worked as an engineer in Silicon Valley. He began his career as a circuit design engineer at Advanced Micro Devices Inc. and Sun Microsystems Inc., where he worked on the AMD K6-2/K6-3 and the Sun UltraSparc III microprocessors, respectively. He later joined Hewlett-Packard Co. in Palo Alto where he focused on CAD technologies.
Mr. Wong received his M.S. in electrical and computer engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 2004 and his B.A. in physics from the University of California, Berkeley in 1998.
Mr. Wong is admitted to practice in California and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
