Martha B. Stolley is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Ms. Stolley concentrates on corporate investigations and white collar defense.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. Stolley was a senior trial attorney at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office. For five years, Ms. Stolley was in the Sexual Crimes Unit, the Asian Gang Unit, and the Domestic Violence Unit. She successfully tried more than 30 cases involving a wide range of crimes, including attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, narcotics trafficking, rape, sexual assault, felony assault, weapons possession, bank robbery, witness tampering, burglary patterns, robbery, criminal contempt, and vehicular homicide. Many of these trials were featured in the press.
Ms. Stolley earned her J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law, where she served as the notes editor for The Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology. Her article titled "Sword or Shield: Due Process and the Fugitive Disentitlement Doctrine" was published in the JCLC in 1997.
Ms. Stolley is admitted to practice in New York and before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
