Robert B. Hamilton is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice. Mr. Hamilton provides services in a wide range of areas including business and corporate disputes, corporate investigations and criminal defense, environmental, international arbitration, patent and trademark, securities, toxic tort, and product liability.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. Hamilton served as in-house counsel to a national commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in multifamily assets. His experience also includes service as a policy advisor to the Lieutenant Governor of Texas and a strategic consultant for one of the nation's largest strategic communications firms.
Mr. Hamilton began his career as an attorney in the United States Army. From 2003 to 2007, Mr. Hamilton was as an officer and Judge Advocate in the 82nd Airborne Division. In this role he served as chief legal advisor for intelligence and counter-intelligence operations throughout Latin America, the chief legal advisor to the commander of combat operations in Fallujah, Iraq, and as a military prosecutor.
Mr. Hamilton earned his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law and his M.P.A. from the University of Texas at Austin, Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs in 2002. He received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Wake Forest University in 1998.
