Erin Elizabeth O'Driscoll is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Ms. O'Driscoll represents clients in a wide range of industries before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Texas Workforce Commission, and the U.S. Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division.
Ms. O'Driscoll has litigated various employment claims in state and federal court, and she has handled appeals in both state and federal appellate courts. She has litigated retaliation, discrimination, and harassment claims arising under state and federal statutes, including Title VII, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Fair Labor Standards Act. She has litigated claims related to defamation, severance agreements, noncompetition agreements, nonsolicitation agreements, trade secret, trade name, and unfair competition. Additionally, Ms. O'Driscoll advises employers on strategies of how to avoid litigation and how to implement best practices in the workplace.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Ms. O'Driscoll was an associate in the employment and commercial litigation section of a Houston-based law firm.
Ms. O'Driscoll was elected to the 2008-2009 board of directors for the Houston Young Lawyers Association (HYLA) and appointed to the Houston Young Lawyers Foundation Board as a trustee. She is a Houston Young Lawyers Foundation fellow and serves on the Houston Bar Association Labor & Employment Section as a council member. Ms. O'Driscoll was also a 2007-2008 vice-chair of the Texas Young Lawyers Association National Trial Competition Committee.
Ms. O'Driscoll received a first-place award for the 2008 Minority Project from the ABA for co-chairing HYLA's Early College Awareness Project. She also received a 2007-2008 HYLA Outstanding Committee Chair Award and a 2007 President's Award of Merit from Texas Young Lawyers Association for outstanding service to the public and bar, and was listed in the 2007 H-Texas Magazine's "Top Professional on the Fast Track."
Ms. O'Driscoll received her J.D. from South Texas College of Law in 2002. While in law school, she competed in the First Amendment Moot Court Competition at Vanderbilt University in Spring 2002. Ms. O'Driscoll received Second Place Overall Moot Court Team at the National Health Law Moot Court Competition at Southern Illinois University in Fall 2002 and Second Place Overall Moot Court Team at the Evan A. Evans Constitutional Law Competition at the University of Wisconsin in Spring 2001. She received her B.A. from Trinity University, Texas in 1997.
Ms. O'Driscoll is admitted to practice in Texas and before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas.
