Jan Klumb is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Business and Finance Practice. Mr. Klumb advises financial institutions and companies in transaction financing, including banking, capital market, and insolvency law. His experience includes structured finance in connection with acquisition finance, real estate portfolios, and bank restructuring. He also has counselled a financial institution in mass consumer protection lawsuits.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Dr. Klumb served his legal clerkship at the District Court of Freiburg. During his training period, he worked in the legal department of a U.S.-based chemical company.
Dr. Klumb received his LL.M. in commercial law from the University of Glasgow, Scotland in 2006. He received his Ph.D. in conflicts of laws from the University of Konstanz and passed his Second State Examination in Baden-Württemberg, Germany in 2004. He studied law at the University of Konstanz, where he passed his First State Examination in 2001. Dr. Klumb is fluent in French, English, and German.
Dr. Klumb is admitted to practice in Germany.
