Christopher D. Havener is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Labor and Employment Practice. Mr. Havener focuses his practice on counseling and representing employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including non-competition agreement and trade secret issues, employment discrimination, harassment and retaliation, wage and hour issues, litigation with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and traditional labor matters. He represents employers in single plaintiff, multiplaintiff, and complex collective and class action litigation before state and federal courts. Mr. Havener also handles administrative complaints before state and federal agencies.

Mr. Havener has authored articles on topics including the employment law provisions of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act and the impact of the National Labor Relations Board's D.R. Horton decision on class and collective action arbitration waivers between employers and employees.

Mr. Havener earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2008, where he was named to the Order of the Coif. While in law school, Mr. Havener served as an Arthur Littleton & H. Clayton Louderback Legal Writing Instructor and as a senior editor for the Journal of Constitutional Law. He earned his A.B. from Princeton University in 2003.

Mr. Havener is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the U.S District Court for the District of New Jersey.
